When you book directly through our website, you avoid the extra fees that online travel agencies (OTAs) charge. We pass those savings on to you with our lowest available rates — no hidden costs or surprise charges.
Booking direct lets us build a relationship with you — which means better communication before your stay, personalised recommendations during your trip, and priority access to future availability or specials.

Delighted Properties is founded by Emily Egge, a 20+ year resident of Durham. We value comfortable spaces and well-cared-for stays, as we share the best parts of our hometown with you. Our entire team focuses on providing homes that feel welcoming, clean, and easy to settle into—whether guests are visiting for a short stay or spending more time in the area.
Our hosting style is centered on clear communication, attention to detail, and being available when guests need support, without being intrusive. With local knowledge and a thoughtful approach to property care, we aim to create dependable, stress-free experiences that help guests feel at home during their time in the Bull City.

Helpful details to make planning your Durham vacation rental stay simple and stress-free.
Properties are located in and around Durham, North Carolina for convenient access to the area.
Clear communication and attentive support are provided throughout your stay.
Generally, check-in is as early as 3pm, and check-out is by 11am. We use electronic keypads or smartlocks, so you’ll have your own unique code for your stay. Specific, clear instructions for each property are shared after booking.
Parking options vary by property, and details can be found in the listing description. All properties do have dedicated, free parking included for at least 1 vehicle.
Over half of our properties are pet-friendly – you can filter for them on the Listings search page. Maximum number of pets and non-refundable pet fees vary by property.
We have a Firm Cancellation Policy: Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund issued within 7 days of check-in.
For stays over 29 days: Full refund up to 30 days before check-in. After that, the first 30 days of the stay are non-refundable.
Note: Credit Card processing fees will be subtracted from the refund amount.
